For archos av500, how difficult it is to record directly from a cable box. How is the picture quality?
"device comes with the RCA cables to connect to a cable box. Once hooked up to the cable box output, you use the archos interface to record whatever channel is on. You can see the video on the screen before you choose to record it. It records it until you stop it and you end up with a large video file. You can then edit that file directly on the device (crop the beginning or end).
The picture quality is great, but it depends on your cable signal. It is more than adequate for viewing on the device. When you transfer the file to a PC, it is still pretty"
